Some Days I really notice when Willow has taken some huge leaps in growing up. Today I was just shaking my head in awe at her. Her language and communication and crazy personality just makes me smile. Today she said, out of the blue, "Dad, do you want to come and see what we got from Grandma's house that I really like, it is really cool!" Hmmm, that was a big sentence, Adam and I grin at each other, raising an eyebrow. She was showing us a scarecrow garden decoration, but the way she said it, it was like she owned it completely. Ahhh, when did I trade my toddler in for a little girl? I look forward to lifetime of funny, wonderful conversations with this sweet person.

These trips to the playground bring so much awesomeness to our days! Today Willow was 'reading' her nursery rhymes books to Silas, reciting all of the memorized lines to him. He started to crawl away and she commanded to him "No No, Silas, come back and listen to this story!"

'Treasure' is a bit of a theme these days. Whether it is the green glass 'jewel' she found stuck into a tree's bark at the park, a hand full of pennies or a multi colored glass bead, it is all treasure and it is all coveted. Today it was digging for treasure in the flower beds, which is fine while the dahlias haven't been planted. Isn't there some pirate blood on the Greaves side.....?

It has been difficult lately to get good pics of Willow...she is either always on the move or naked....and usually both! Sitting in her sand table here, having a great time, oblivious to the world around her....I can't wait to show her the ocean and a real beach - it's gonna blow her mind!

Willow is always a big help in the kitchen when there is some mixing, stirring and licking to be done. She helped me whip up some birthday cupcakes. It is great, my birthday came on a Monday this year so I actually had a whole weekend to begin the celebrations! We spent lots of time in the yard watching the fresh green shoots of spring make their way into the world....very enjoyable!

Willow had her first live theater experience at the Esplanade watching Franklin. She sat perfectly riveted and enchanted for the entire performance. I know that she loved it...she wore the Franklin T-shirt that Grandma got for her for the next two days and nights. I dunno, do you think she looks happy here?

We had a lovely Easter weekend filled with treats and surprises and a wonderful family dinner together - thanks to Grandma! Check out all the pics in the Easter album I posted. This picture is one of my favorites and one of the only recent pictures of the two of them looking all spanky clean and dressed in their Sunday best.
